It is belived that the Antikaythera mechanism was the worlds first computer which was first discovered in a Roman era shipwreck by Greek sponge divers in 1900. Surprisingly scientists have successfully completed a model for the Cosmos panel of this 2,000 year old mechanical devise kown as Antiythera. The fragments of a shoe- box contraption once filled with gears was used predict the movement of heavenly bodies. Therefore this ingenious devise has surprised and amazed generations of researchers ever since it was discovered. Despite years of continuous hard work the scientific community had earlier been unsuccessful in fully replicating this devise from battered fragments found in the wreck. Researchers at University College London are excited to have successfully recreated this device which challenges modern man’s all preconceptions reagrding the technological capabilities of the ancient Greeks.
