The Probability of oceans of water buried in the Crust of Mars

A recent study suggests the possibilty of oceans of water  in the crust of the red planet and not lost to space as previously thought. Earlier work had identified that Mars was once wet to cover its entire surface with water 330 to 4,920 feet deep having half as much water as Atlantic Ocean.  Since the presence of water determines the existence of life on earth. So the history of water on Mars raises the possibility that life once exsisted on Mars and therefore it might still be there.
